Q: Do I need an appointment?
Yes,
appointments are necessary to allow adequate time for your
special visit. However, sometimes, same day appointments are available
due to re-scheduling. After hours appointments are available with
purchase of the Ultimate Package. Please call and ask.
Q: Can I take children and relatives?
Siblings of
any age are welcome as long as a friend or family member
is available to tend to them. We want this to be a special moment in
your pregnancy with limited distractions. Friends and family members
are of course welcome. You can bring up to six guests, or just make it
a special day for yourself and/or your significant other. If
you would
like to bring more guests, please arrange this in advance so we can
best accommodate your request.
Q: On what week of my pregnancy do I get the best
images?
Optimum
viewing time is between the 26th and 34th week of pregnancy.
However you are welcome to come in anytime after the 18th week to
determine gender. Many of our clients like to come in once in
the
second trimester, and then again the in the third. We will discount
your second package by taking $25.00 off the package you select.
Q: Is it safe for me and my baby?
Extensive
studies over 30 years have been conducted and have not
shown any cause to harm mother or baby. Routine scanning in
the United
States is now very accepted and normal. The intensity of the
ultrasound
in 3D/4D is the same as conventional 2D. Ultrasound works on
sound
waves that enter the body through the transducer that is placed on the
mother's abdomen. The echo that is generated is what creates the image
that you see. If you have any concerns please check with your
physician.
Q: Does my insurance covers this procedure?
No, all
costs are covered by the client at the time of the procedure
as this is an elective ultrasound for the purpose of bonding with your
baby and obtaining images of the baby's surface. We accept
cash, ATM,
MasterCard or Visa.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
We are proud to use the GE Voluson 730 Expert ultrasound system.
